GTN-H is a joint effort of the Global Climate Observing System (GCOS) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). Additionally, it represents the observational arm of the Group on Earth Observations / Integrated Global Water Cycle Observations Theme (GEO/IGWCO).

Trained as a Geoscientist my scope of duties at the ICWRGC covers (1) the coordination of the Global Terrestrial Network – Hydrology (GTN-H), (2) beeing contact person for UNESCO FRIEND-Water (Flow Regimes from International Experimental and Network Data), and (3) to develop hydrological data products My research focus covers the (1) Analysis of hydrological variability across time and space focusing on internal climate variability and climate change and (2) Fluvial sediment transport
